The mission of Community Education and Services is to build community and inspire people to excel by embracing innovative services and learning.
From Early Childhood to seniors, we provide programs and services that matter to you. District 279 Community Education and Services accomplishes this by providing quality programs and services for all ages, from the very youngest learners through to adult and senior learners. Learn positive parenting techniques and watch your child prepare for Kindergarten in one of our Early Childhood classes, build a robot in one of our youth enrichment programs, have your child participate in an engaging child care program while you are working, lose weight in one of our adult enrichment classes, learn English or work toward your GED or citizenship in our Adult Basic Education courses, reserve a space in one of our schools for a community meeting with our facilities department, or see the work at our Travel and Adventure film series for seniors. You'll find what you're looking for here! All of these components of Community Education are staffed by a talented and hard-working team of individuals dedicated to meeting the needs of all learners in District 279.
You are invited to be a part of shaping the future of Community Education within District 279. Citizen involvement through active, voluntary participation on the Community Education Program Advisory Council is an excellent way to become more involved in your community.
