When the curtain rises on Wastebasket Revue on April 20, it will mark a milestone for the show whose purpose is to raise money for scholarships that benefit graduating seniors in Osseo Area Schools.
A staple in the community for half a century, Wastebasket Revue’s 50th anniversary show this spring will feature nearly 300 hundred staff and community members from Osseo Area Schools in skits, songs and dances—all volunteers who are united by a common passion of supporting local students. Throughout the past 50 years, Wastebasket Revue has raised more than $1.1 million for 802 post-secondary scholarships for District 279 students.
Wastebasket Revue scholarship winners for 2017 are:
Maple Grove Senior High: Tiffany Bui, Paul Clement, Elisabeth Heitzig, Alex Miley, Eleanor Schutte, Seth Thompson, Marie Vanderwarn and Arianna Varela.
Osseo Senior High: Nicholas Carline, Andrea Dienslake, Erin Donaldson, Anna Fuhrman, Elizabeth Hainlen and Jacob Walters.
